Keswick is an area east of Charlottesville in Albemarle County VA. When you close your eyes and picture the ideal country horse estate… that’s what you’ll see when you drive through the scenic lanes of Keswick VA.
Keswick horse farms are located in the rolling pastures and foothills of the Southwest Mountains, and one outstanding feature of the Keswick area is that it’s also the heart of horse country. Large rambling estates, brick and white columns, long driveways lined in flowering trees, with 4-rail fences and fields full of beautiful horses. It’s simply idyllic. Neighbors in the estates of Keswick are supportive of each other’s hunt activities that take place, allowing neighbors access to cross their estates and pastures with their horses.
The Keswick Hunt Club is a very active group in the community. They hold regular formal hunts plus other special event like the Blessing of the Hounds before each Thanksgiving hunt, an event that attracts more than 1000 people to the Keswick area.
